Toybox Adventures Architect

I was the Level Architect on the Toybox Adventures for Barbossa (Pirates of the Caribbean) and Syndrome (The Incredibles), and other Toybox adventures with team members. This was a giant project with more than 200 team members working on the project. It was a great opportunity for me to be able to directly contribute to such a great AAA game.

It was an exciting project to work on. I learned a brand new engine which opened up new exciting ways to give players the Disney Infinity experience. As an architect I was responsible for design, scripting, layout, world building, systems and gameplay. I had the pleasure to work with Disney Studio Avalanche Software’s Toybox team.

My duties as Toybox Adventures Architect:

  • Create concept for Barbossa and Syndrome character only games
  • Created level layouts, and game modes (design, scripting, populating, etc)
  • Worked with Toybox team in Utah in person at start and finish of the project
  • Worked with testing team
  • Helped other team members finish their own Toybox adventures
